The real estate market in Hawthorne CA was strong yet again in August 2026 with 20 homes closing escrow during the month.

Of the 20 homes that sold only one was in the gated community of Fusion.  5506 w 149th Pl #5 was a three bedroom G floorplan that closed at $1,023,000.

The average asking price of the 20 homes was $972,389 and the average sold price was $945,138 meaning homes generally sold for less than full price (97.7%) for the third month in a row.  Prices were higher than July’s $933,600 average but well below the very impressive $1,106,624 average home price in June.

Homes averaged $726 per square foot and homes averaged 38 days on market before going into escrow.

The latest listing in Fusion is certainly a nicely updated 2 bedroom E floorplan but the price would be a record breaker.  Only time will tell if this townhome sells at anywhere near this initial price.  The highest price ever was about a year ago and was the same layout so….we’ll find out.  That one was listed at  $987,500 and sold for $1,055,000.

5412 W 149th Place #4 home is Brandon Imani of The Agency & Lupita Henriquez of Estate Properties.

The E floorplan is usually a favorite with soaring ceilings, large windows, a spacious patio, and 2 suites both on the top floor.

We definitely wish them the best as it would be great to see values take a HUGE jump but it seems unlikely.  As they say….all it takes is one.
