Home Sales in Hawthorne and Fusion in October

What a month it was for real estate in Hawthorne California and Fusion South Bay with 43 on market property sales closing in October in Hawthorne including 2 sales in Fusion.  The average “list” price was $837,828 with the average “sold” price at $854,422 meaning that homes generally sold higher than the asking price.  Median days on market was a very short 15 before going into escrow and the average price per foot was $619. See how this compares with other months on our Hawthorne California real estate statistics and trends page.  2 of the 43 homes that sold were in the the gated community of Fusion South Bay in Hollyglen, and another 2 in the resort like complex of Three Sixty   Of the two Fusion homes that sold one was a 3 bedroom at 5401 w 149th St #12 that sold for $980,000 and the other was a “C” floorplan at 5412 w 149th #1 that sold at $860,000.

Since There Is Nothing for Sale in Fusion (for a while now) Let’s Look at 360 South Bay

Let’s take a moment to check in on the real estate market in Hollyglen’s other gated community……Three Sixty South Bay.  As it’s significantly larger than Fusion, there are often homes for sale when nothing is available in Fusion.   As it’s quite a bit newer and offering resort style amenities, the prices are higher in 360 than in Fusion but you definitely get more.    With an abundance of styles, floorplans and finishes, there are endless variety’s and something to fit everyone’s tastes.  From the “condo” style living of the Flats, to the large single family homes of The Terraces the community offers endless choices.  As is the case with Fusion, Three Sixty is also serviced by the highly rated Wiseburn School District.  Keith Kyle with Vista Sotheby’s International Realty specializes  in homes in both of these wonderful gated communities.

Hawthorne CA Recap – December Real Estate at a Glance

While there’s often some confusion with the location of Fusion South Bay (some buyers contact me thinking it’s part of Manhattan or El Segundo) it’s located in the Hollyglen neighborhood of Hawthorne.  December was a great month for home sales in Hawthorne with 40 properties selling compared with only 26 in December 2019.  The median sales price was an impressive $780,000 due in large part to home sales in 360 and Fusion South Bay.  Homes averaged 22 days on market before going into escrow and theaverage price per foot was $557.
