Finally A New Listing Hits the Market – D Floorplan Comes on at $819,000

There hasn’t been much to get excited about with so few homes for sale in Fusion South Bay but a new listing just hit the market as of 3/1.    This latest listing is a D floorplan which is the middle range of the 2 bedrooms in terms of square footage.  The D layout offers a nice living level with a good sized living room, dining area and larger kitchen with center island.    It’s a popular layout with the only drawbacks being that this layout has a smaller balcony and the guest bedroom does not have a bath on the same level.  Priced at $819,000 this will definitely be a test to see just where the market has come in the last 6 months with the last three sales of D unts being at $795,000, $740,000 and $755,000.  There’s no doubt that the demand is there with the last C unit selling way over the previous high sale in the past.

January Real Estate Recap – Hawthorne Home Sales and Prices

Welcome to the month that was for home sales in the city of Hawthorne.  It was a very solid month for real estate in Hawthorne CA with 18 homes selling during the month compared with 14 in January of 2020.   The median home price was $769,000 and the average days on market was a brief 33.

Record Setting Sale for Off Market F Floorplan

The recent closing of the off market home at 5509 #3 set the new record for F floorplans at a sales price of $829,000.  This was a very nicely updated and upgraded 2 bed, 2.5 bedroom townhome style unit.  The previous record high was $825,000 for an E floorplan (fairly similar and on the larger end of the square footage).  Take a look below for more information.  See details on all of the recent home sales and pending escrows in Fusion.

See the Homes that Sold in Hollyglen During January

One of the aspects that makes homes in Fusion South Bay so desirable is the neighborhood and the attendance in the Wiseburn School district.  Fusion sits in theHawthorne homes for sale highly sought after community of Hollyglen in the city of Hawthorne.  Take a look at the homes that sold in this charming area during the first month of 2021.  It was a pretty solid, although slower, month especially given that December is often a down month for homes going into escrow.  There were 9 homes sold during the month.  The median “list” price was $850,000 with the median “sold” price at $865,000 indicating a very solid “seller’s” market. The median price per foot of the homes that sold was $703. Of the 9 closed sales only one was in Fusion and was a  3 bedroom G floorplan that closed at $865,000 and two of the homes were in the gated community of 360 South Bay.

Latest Fusion Sale – 3 Bedroom Closes at $865,000

The latest home sale in Fusion South Bay was a 3 bedroom “G” floorplan that was listed for $850,000 and sold for $865,000.  The home was in very nice condition but was definitely locationally challenged as it faced directly onto Aviation Blvd.  This was a pretty impressive price given the location as the last two “G” units sold at $855,000 and $875,000 during 2020.  View all of the recent home sales in Fusion or search the current active listings in the community.

The Tale of Two Different Markets in Fusion During 2020

What an unusual year it was for  home sales in Fusion during 2020.  What started off to be an record setting year (not in a good way)  turned dramatically in June.  There were 18 home sales last year and amazingly the first closed sale did not happen until June.  There was not a single closed home sale for the first half of the year  with all 18 sales happening in the 2nd half.  Take a look at the “sold date” on the homes below.  It really was the tale of two markets.
