The Tale of Two Different Markets in Fusion During 2020

What an unusual year it was for  home sales in Fusion during 2020.  What started off to be an record setting year (not in a good way)  turned dramatically in June.  There were 18 home sales last year and amazingly the first closed sale did not happen until June.  There was not a single closed home sale for the first half of the year  with all 18 sales happening in the 2nd half.  Take a look at the “sold date” on the homes below.  It really was the tale of two markets.

A newly listed C floorplan just hit the market as of 1/25 and it’s clear that this one isn’t going to last long. It’s a beautiful upgraded unit with hardwood floors, granite counters, custom tile in the bathrooms, and dark cabinetry throughout. The C floorplan is one of the smaller layouts but offers a spacious and flexible living/dining area. Unlike other floorplans with an obvious living room and dining room, the open layout is more of a blank slate allowing the owner to design interior spaces in a variety of ways. 5507 #16 is in a bit of a challenging location but that’s clearly not going to deter buyers. 2020 First Half Fusion South Bay Real Estate Market Recap

Here’s what’s happened in the first half of 2020 in Fusion South Bay.  The biggest driving force in the market this year is the record low number of homes for sale.  As of 7/17/20 there have been only 2 closed sales in Fusion compared with 10 (which was  a historically slow year) in 2019.
